Giving the Gift of Language
The Spanish Academy opened in 2001, and we teach Spanish to children ages 12 months – 10 years and adults. The Spanish Academy is Atlanta’s first Spanish preschool & kindergarten. We offer a Total Immersion Preschool and bilingual Kindergarten with an excellent academic curriculum with a low student to teacher ratio. Our teachers are native speakers so our students learn to speak Spanish with a native tongue. Our goal is to create an atmosphere in which children will not only experience the joy of learning but also look forward to coming to school each day while developing a lifelong love of learning and a proficiency in Spanish.
Total Immersion Method – Our Approach
Total Immersion is a method of foreign language instruction in which the regular school curriculum is taught through the medium of a foreign language. The foreign language is the vehicle for the content instruction not the subject of instruction.
